Custom web development

I design, build and maintain custom applications for companies and agencies: management software, online sales and payments, private portals, backends for apps and games, websites and shops. And because I also run the servers, every application is designed for the place it will run.

What I build

When off-the-shelf tools fall short and you need the application to do exactly what your business needs.

Management applications

Your operations in a single tool: orders, routes and fleet, delivery notes, quotes, invoicing, warehouse or training, with the right permissions for each person.

Online sales and payments

Cards through Redsys, Bizum, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Stripe; subscriptions, direct debits with bank remittances and a wallet with credit.

Private portals and communities

For clients, suppliers, students or professionals, each seeing only what is theirs: documents, forums, notices and meetings.

Backends for apps and games

The API and server behind an app or a game: real-time chat, push notifications, in-app purchases, leagues and tournaments, and a panel to run it all.

Intranets and documents

Requests with approval chains and e-signature, room and vehicle bookings and inventory. Contracts, certificates and receipts as PDFs, and import and export to Excel.

Memberships, events and access

Sign-ups and renewals, a digital membership card on the phone and a single account for all your applications. For the big days, a virtual waiting room and an access app that validates without coverage.

Sectors I have worked in

Every sector has its own way of working; what stays the same is the method.

  • Transport and logistics: daily operations, fleet and connection to the port.
  • Healthcare and pharma: professional communities, conferences and patients.
  • Education and training: school management, courses, assessments and diplomas.
  • Online advertising: ad server, campaigns and statistics.
  • Video games: backends, operations panels and in-game purchases.
  • Sport: online sales, memberships, access control and customer service.
  • Real estate: landing pages for developments that capture leads.
  • Retail: catalogues connected to the ERP and online shops.

Websites and online shops

For smaller projects too, with the same care.

Corporate websites

Fast, easy to update and built to be found. With WordPress when you want to edit it yourself, or static when speed and security come first.

Online shops

WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento or Shopify, with payment gateway, shipping and integrations with your ERP or warehouse.

Landing pages and microsites

Campaign, event or promotion pages that capture leads, with A/B tests to see which version works best.

Performance

Slow sites that start loading in an instant: a well-tuned server, caching, optimised images and lean code.

Migrations

Old websites and forums moved to a current platform without losing content or users.

Maintenance and evolution

Updates, backups, changes and new features when you need them, from someone who knows your site inside out.

How I work

A simple process with no surprises.

  1. 1

    Conversation

You tell me what you need and why. I tell you how I would do it, how long it would take and what it would cost.

  2. 2

    Proposal

Scope, timeline and budget in writing before we start.

  3. 3

    Development

You see real progress on a test version and in a shared task manager.

  4. 4

    Launch and care

I publish it on a prepared server, with manuals, and stay on to maintain it if you want.

Projects

Some real work: what the problem was, how it was solved and what changed.

End-to-end management for a transport company

A transport company with its own fleet that works with the Port of Valencia.

The challenge
Coordinating orders, routes, vehicles and drivers every day, while keeping up with port procedures and the accounts.
The solution
A custom application with orders and routes, fleet and maintenance, refrigerated units, delivery and consignment notes, incidents and a mobile version for drivers. Real-time alerts, orders that arrive on their own from the Port of Valencia’s PCS and delivery notes that go straight to Sage 50.
The result
All operations in a single tool, with the port and the accounts connected.

Backend and operations panel for mobile games

A mobile game studio I have worked with since 2015.

The challenge
A live game needs a server that can handle every player at once and a team that can run it every day: events, tournaments, purchases and support.
The solution
The backend and API for the games: moderated real-time chat, leagues, tournaments and playoffs, in-game purchases and mass push notifications, on MongoDB and Redis. And a panel for the team with production and test environments, events, offers, currencies, support and reports.
The result
The studio launches events and tournaments, manages offers and supports players from its own panel, without touching the code.

Platforms for the healthcare sector

Communication agencies and laboratories in the healthcare sector.

The challenge
Bringing healthcare professionals together in a private space, getting audiences involved at conferences and supporting patients outside the consulting room.
The solution
Private communities for doctors with forums, documents, meetings and notices; conference apps with live questions and voting; a portal of health questions answered by doctors; and a voice assistant on Alexa for patients, with their medication.
The result
Each need with its own custom tool: from the professional community to the conference and the patient’s home.

Membership management from start to finish

An organisation with thousands of members.

The challenge
Handling sign-ups, renewals and payments for thousands of members without paper or spreadsheets, and not leaving seats empty when someone cannot attend.
The solution
A platform with step-by-step sign-up and documents, annual renewal, direct debits, a wallet and a membership card on the phone. If a member cannot go, they release their seat: it is resold and they receive credit.
The result
The whole member lifecycle in a single tool, in several languages, and fewer empty seats.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom application or website cost?

It depends on what you need: a corporate website is not the same as an application with payments, permissions and integrations. Tell me about the project and I will tell you how I would do it, how long it would take and what it would cost, with no commitment.

Can you integrate Spanish payment methods such as Redsys or Bizum?

Yes: cards through Redsys, Bizum, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Stripe, plus subscriptions, direct debits with bank remittances and a wallet with credit.

WordPress or custom development?

WordPress fits if you want to edit the content yourself and well-known plugins cover what you need. Custom when there is logic of your own (memberships, payments, approvals, integrations) or speed and security come first. I will recommend whatever fits your case.

Do you also take care of the server and maintenance?

Yes. I set up the server it will run on, with backups, monitoring and certificates, and stay on for maintenance and updates if you need them.

Do you work for agencies?

Yes. A good part of my freelance work has been for agencies and IT companies that needed someone technical for their clients’ projects: applications, landing pages, microsites and integrations.

Do you only work in Valencia?

I am based in Valencia, Spain, but I work remotely with clients anywhere in the world, in English or Spanish.
