API integration and connecting applications

Your website, your shop, your ERP and your accounting do not talk to each other, and someone ends up copying data from one to another. I connect them with each other and with outside services so information flows on its own, with every exchange logged and an alert when something fails.

What I connect

With the official APIs whenever they exist, and with whatever solution fits when they do not.

ERP and accounting

Sage 50 and in-house ERPs: customers, payment methods, delivery notes, catalogue and orders, in whichever direction is needed and without typing anything twice.

Government and ports

Invoices sent to the Spanish tax agency’s SII with a digital certificate, and connection to the Port of Valencia’s PCS.

Payments and subscriptions

Redsys, Bizum, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Stripe: one-off payments and subscriptions, with each payment confirmed in your system.

Online shops

Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Magento connected to your ERP or to other platforms: catalogue, stock, orders and customers.

Messaging and notifications

Transactional email, Mailchimp, Slack, Discord, push notifications and Apple Wallet passes.

Custom APIs

I design the API so your mobile app, your game or your partners can connect to your platform, with authentication, rate limits and documentation.

Signs you need an integration

When the problem is not one application, but that they do not talk to each other.

  • You copy web orders into the ERP or the accounts by hand.
  • A customer’s details do not match between the shop, the CRM and invoicing.
  • The tax agency, the port or a supplier asks you to send data through their platform.
  • Your app or a partner needs to connect to your system and there is no way in.

How I do it

An integration that fails silently is worse than none at all.

  1. 1

    Study both sides

Documentation, test environment and what data each system holds.

  2. 2

    Design

What data goes where, in which direction, how often and what happens if something fails.

  3. 3

    Development

Against the provider’s test environment, never blindly against production.

  4. 4

    Go-live

With every exchange logged, retries and alerts, so nothing gets lost without anyone noticing.

Projects

Some real work: what the problem was, how it was solved and what changed.

End-to-end management for a transport company

A transport company with its own fleet that works with the Port of Valencia.

The challenge
Coordinating orders, routes, vehicles and drivers every day, while keeping up with port procedures and the accounts.
The solution
A custom application with orders and routes, fleet and maintenance, refrigerated units, delivery and consignment notes, incidents and a mobile version for drivers. Real-time alerts, orders that arrive on their own from the Port of Valencia’s PCS and delivery notes that go straight to Sage 50.
The result
All operations in a single tool, with the port and the accounts connected.

Backend and operations panel for mobile games

A mobile game studio I have worked with since 2015.

The challenge
A live game needs a server that can handle every player at once and a team that can run it every day: events, tournaments, purchases and support.
The solution
The backend and API for the games: moderated real-time chat, leagues, tournaments and playoffs, in-game purchases and mass push notifications, on MongoDB and Redis. And a panel for the team with production and test environments, events, offers, currencies, support and reports.
The result
The studio launches events and tournaments, manages offers and supports players from its own panel, without touching the code.

One account for every application

An organisation with many applications and a very varied audience.

The challenge
Each application had its own sign-up. The same person ended up with several accounts, and consents were duplicated.
The solution
An in-house identity system, with email codes and sign-in with Google, Apple or Microsoft. It centralises consents and tags each person according to their relationship with the organisation. It is connected to the Shopify store.
The result
One account per person and a single customer database. The shop recognises members and applies their discount without them having to do anything.

Frequently asked questions

Can you connect my online shop to my ERP?

Yes: orders, customers, stock and invoices, in whichever direction is needed. I have worked with Sage, in-house ERPs and Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Magento.

What if the application has no API?

Sometimes there are alternatives: export files, access to its database or an intermediate service. I look into it and tell you whether it is feasible and with what risks.

What happens if the other system goes down?

The integration keeps what is pending, retries and raises an alert if it cannot get through. What matters is that nothing gets lost without anyone noticing.

Do you handle sending invoices to the SII?

Yes: I have built automatic submission of issued and received invoices to the Spanish tax agency’s SII with a digital certificate, with email alerts.

Can you build an API for our app?

Yes. I design and build APIs for mobile apps, games and partners, with authentication, rate limits and documentation for whoever will use them.
